" Beauty of appearance is what we call looking good.
It has little to do with personality,
character or morality,
and that is because anything that applies to how things look is
not a reliable guide to many of their other qualities.
We must be careful here,
there is such a thing as "inner" beauty,
to be contrasted with the beauty of appearance.
For even if you love someone on account of their character or whatever,
these features will manifest themselves in the appearance of the person in question.
You will literally perceive them in their face,
their behavior.
It is this beauty that I find philosophically interesting.
It certainly is valuable,
although I am not sure its value is pure.
Hypocrisy in the society which virtually says natural beauty matters more than
anything whereas in reality they themselves knock
at the door of cosmetic surgeons.
Truth hurts, i know.
The old cliche "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder"
began to plant doubts in me as
the volatile question arises:
How genuine is the beholder ? "

And i go, "hmmmmmmmm~"
